The 2023 APME Conference

2023 Graduate Virtual Conference: The Future We Create

January 20–21, 2023

Online

Graduate students are an important part of the popular music education community. As they continue their studies in higher education, it is essential they create a network of like-minded educators who share their passions for both education and popular music. Though they are spread across a wide variety of colleges and universities with a range of interests under the umbrella of popular music education, it is important to have the opportunity to come together, share ideas, and learn from each other. APME is excited to offer that opportunity in a free, virtual setting.

This conference is for current graduate students at any college or university throughout the world who have an interest in popular music education. The theme of this conference is “The Future We Create.” This conference will take place via Zoom and provides an opportunity for graduate students to connect, network, share research, and workshop ideas.

The conference will be held on January 20 and 21st, 2023. We welcome proposals for papers and presentations from a broad range of contexts and perspectives.
