A Rockin’ Modern Band Festival!
For Who:
Open to modern bands (pop/rock/R&B/country bands, guitar ensembles, DJ’s, Mariachi Bands, hip hop artists, bluegrass groups and any performing group that doesn’t fit into the traditional band, orchestra, choir, or jazz model). Open to groups in grades K-12 that are run through a curricular or co-curricular school program.
When:
Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Performances and clinics starting at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College

Why:
So our students can share their music, hard work, and collaborations with other schools, students and teachers in a positive, encouraging, and educational environment. This event will be a non-competitive, festival setting.
How:
Please fill out the registration form (1 form for each group you wish to bring) and follow the directions on the form. Due by April 17, 2023.
Other Details:
- Format: Each band will have 30 minutes to warm up and then have 30 minutes to set up, perform and leave stage in performance room. Each band will then have a 30-minute clinic following the performance.
- There will also be dedicated times for master classes with topics ranging from instrument technique to improvisation to songwriting.
- Clinicians will be Anoka-Ramsey Community College faculty and friends of the college
